Lions Scrimmage For Last Time This Fall

Friday night, Carterville Athletic Director and head football coach Brett Dial gathered his team the turf at Carterville High School for the final time this fall.

In what should have been week six of the football season if not for Covid19, on this night it was 7on7 with the teams split between blue and white.

It was a fantastic night for football...any kind of football. The temperature was about 60, when things got started at 6:30pm.

With modified rules for the scrimmage both teams slung the ball around.

All I know is both teams had a great time. For the players, the night was wrapped up with pizza and who doesn't like pizza.

I had a chance to talk to Coach Dial after the scrimmage.

The Lions are scheduled to open the football season this spring on Saturday, March 6th when the Lions host Murphysboro at 1:00 PM.

Here are some pics from Friday night here.
